The Ulanga River, also known as the Kilombero River, is a river that starts in the southwest of Tanzania on the eastern slope of the East African Rift that flows northeast into the Rufiji River then to the Indian Ocean.

The Camp:

Luxury en-suite Tented Safari Camp with a breath taking view of the wild Kilombero River.

Meals are provided in a thatch-roofed dining area facing the Kilombero River.

Well trained Staff are dedicated to make your visit unforgettable. Washing is done on a daily basis.

An able Chef is responsible for a range of excellent cuisine including dinner and breakfast with a packed lunch for consumption either in camp or in some scenic area along the river.

Camp staff always ready serve you a cold beer and a scrumptious bush meal.

Fishing:

Access to over 60 km of pristine, untouched stretches of the Wild, Remote Kilombero River For Monster Tanzanian Tiger Fish!!

September to November

Max 8 rods per week – Catch and Release Only

Five and a half days will be dedicated to fishing. Many different fishing localities will be visited..

Some fishing will be conducted from the river banks while rapids will also provide exciting angling.

Boats ( Aluminium boats for the larger areas of the river)

You will be accompanied by experienced guides to assist when needed. The river consists of miles & miles of deep pools, shallow riffles and rapids. The shallow rapids & riffles are loaded with hundreds Tanzanian Yellow Fish which we sight fish with fly or lure..

There are a variety of other species, such as the tilapia species, various catfish species, as well as monster Vundu Catfish that can also be targeted with fly and lure.
