Nhenda Camp

sekoma_fishingIn the heart of Mozambique lies a hidden jewel, a body of water untouched and untamed, a piece that is wild with live, a place that is home to one of Africa’s most feared predators, the Tiger fish. Nhenda Safaris offers you world class fishing in the vast waters of the Cahora Bassa Dam.

The Nhenda camp is situated on the northern side of Cahora Bassa in most remote / unspoilt area of the dam approximately 120km from the dam wall. So far from civilization and everything that it gives you the opportunity to fish virgin waters for Tiger Fish, Vundu, Bream and so much more.

The friendly Nhenda Safaris staff and delicious food will make your stay
an unforgettable one!

Built on the water’s edge, the little, exclusive Nhenda Safaris camp/lodge is tucked away in one of the protected bays and boasts its own lion chorus that could be heard almost every other night. The lodge is small and private, built in a traditional Mozambique style with all the modern extras such as ice, cold beer and hot water showers. It is by no means one of those overdone five star venues, but rather a cosy fishing and birding retreat that blends into the wild nature around it, with fish that can be seen feeding whilst you dine. The wildlife in this area is still untamed and the bays and inlets have plenty crocodile, hippo and an amazing variety of bird life.

With the necessary boats and guides available all you have to do is make a cast to make your Tiger fishing dreams come true!
