Self-drive

Via Beitbridge-through Zimbabwe – the road is getting better by the day now as they finish construction of the road. Only the part between Guro and Changara is very bad and should be taken very slowly, they are trying to fill holes but some are filled and some not, clients can prepare to drive 60 km/h on this piece of road.

From Beitbridge we drive via Masvingo to Mutare (Forbes border – Zim side and Machipanda on Moz side) Clients sleep over at Selva a little Motel cheap with good food (Best Portuguese Chicken in Moz) it’s close to the Tete road for early next morning take off.

From Selva we drive to Catandica – to Guro – Changara – Tete – we drive to Tete 20km from Songo turnoff to fill with Fuel come back on the same road (20km) and take the Songo road for 96km (good tar) before Songo we take the Estima road (now fully tarred to Estima 16km) continue to Daque ( 100km) on road under contraction parts good others normal gravel road – bad stones as you know and clients can prepare to swap tires as you should know….

Daque continue 7 km to turn off Africa hunts camp 30 min drive through the hunting area to the camp. Nhenda transfer clients by boat to camp on other side 30-45 min by boat. Have a cold beer.

Time wise from Middelburg to Selva depending on borders 13-14 hours drive.

Selva to Tete – 5-6 hours
